19th – 24th January
Feel Good at Hud is all about taking a moment for yourself during the busy university week. It’s a regular wellbeing-focused programme from Huddersfield Students’ Union, designed to help you relax, reset, and reconnect with yourself and others on campus. Whether you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or just in need of a breather, Feel Good at Hud offers a welcoming space where you can slow down and focus on feeling your best.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice a relaxed and friendly environment. There’s no pressure to be super social or stay for a set amount of time. You can drop in between lectures, bring a friend, or come along on your own. Everything is designed to be low-pressure, inclusive, and easy to join in with.
Each Feel Good session offers a mix of activities that support your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. This could include mindful crafts, colouring, journalling, gentle games, or simple creative activities that help you switch off from deadlines and screens. You don’t need any experience or skills—just a willingness to give it a go.
Feel Good at Hud isn’t about fixing problems or having serious conversations—unless you want to. It’s a chance to exist in a supportive space where wellbeing is the focus. Students’ Union staff and partners may be around to chat, offer resources, or point you towards support services if needed, but there’s absolutely no obligation.
If you do feel like chatting, Feel Good at Hud is a great way to meet other students in a relaxed setting. Conversations often happen naturally when you’re doing something hands-on together, and many students find it easier to connect here than at louder, fast-paced events.
There are often small extras to enjoy, such as free refreshments, wellbeing resources, or take-home items to continue that feel-good feeling after the session ends. These little touches are there to remind you that your wellbeing matters.
Feel Good at Hud is for everyone. No matter your course, year of study, background, or how you’re feeling that day, you’re welcome. You don’t have to be struggling to attend, and you don’t have to explain yourself. Just turn up as you are.
University life can be busy, noisy, and demanding. Feel Good at Hud gives you permission to pause. Even a short visit can help you feel more grounded, refreshed, and supported. If you’re looking for a gentle way to take care of your wellbeing on campus, this is a great place to start.
